Hi It looks like my box may have finally died. A filter clean and new oil did help but it stared hesitating going in to second again, then the dreaded hold light flashes. It's fine cold but when hot it's getting worse. I thought Ava had solenoids but they are not listed for the 2 litre. Has anyone r...

Re: Main battery wont hold a charge...
Check the rear (tail) door is fully closed, if not the ignition key hole green light wont go out. The light is on a timer so be patient. Its only a tiny draw but an easy slip up. When running check voltage at leisure battery and at main battery. Usually over 13.5v should be OK. Halfords will test yo...

Re: 2 litre 2 wheel drive gearbox filter location
Hi. Cheers for the help. It's had a good filter clear out tank blown through and new oil. It was a bit smoother but a couple of roundabouts it hesitated. I'm suspecting cavitation so I added half a litre. It's now about half an inch over the hot running (in park) mark. It is so much better now. Smoo...

Hi... its UM100 box. the filter was the meshed part with the square hole. From other descriptions I though it was up near the cooler pipes. It was about 12 bolts of 2 different lenghts.

Re: Squeal when you put your foot down in 2L 2001?
Hi does it hesitate on power then surge fwd, it may be a box problem. after a long drive mine does it and make a dull whistle sound..
Most likely problem is the alternator belt loose. take up the slack I think belt deflection is 10mm when pushed (with your thumb)
