Re: Warped Exhaust Manifold

I took an old manifold gasket, drilled out the rivet and separated the layers. I then made up the gap by fitting gasket "shims" - worked for all the time I'd the bongo for and still fine 2 years later after i sold it to a neighbour.

I think you'll find any used manifold will be warped

Re: Fitting Mazda 6 alloys 17" do they fit?

I think the BMW issue is more to do with a manufacturing defect than improper fitment and they will replace under warranty if there is a problem. Maybe Stuc - I thought they had got just too close to tolerances trying to keep unsprung weight down - it appears to be more of a problem in third world ...

Re: dripping oil

Been to my local garage this morning. Fortunately he has worked on bongos before and new about common faults and the common issues they have. He didn't seem to be overly concerned and said it was ok to drive. Also, no oil on the drive this morning, which is good. Makes me wonder if it happens when ...

Hiya Stuc Here are a few pics that I can find on my photobucket. I am sure I took more of the rail with the brackets attached in close up but I am struggling to find them. #-o http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/blingofreda/caravan%20store%20pics/76bc8d54.jpg http://i622.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Glowplugs ?

Right it hasn't cured the problem so its back to the drawing board, i spoke to the technical dept a a very well regarded Bongo dealer who told me that the cold start mechanism needs activating by depressing the throttle prior to start up, so i tried this method at home time and it made no differanc...

don't know if it helps-but did you buy private or dealer? When i bought mine from dealer he explained that even private sellers have to provide so much warranty per thousand spent-may be worth looking into.
