Bongo Folk
Dear Bongonauts, I just wanted to say thank-you for being an AMAZING and supportive community! I have recently gone to the dark side and bought a larger camper (not a VW!) due to back issues. The help and comradeship of the bongonaut community has been incredible. I shall look back on my four bongo ...

Re: E10 Fuel
Bongonauts, Thanks so much for the collective wisdom above! Times they are a changing! But all is now lost, have a quick look this link https://www.esso.co.uk/en-gb/fuels/petrol especially in regards to Synergy Supreme fuel. Also read that Esso will reduce fuel costs by 5 pence per litre for sacrifi...

Re: E10 Fuel
Good Morning Bongonauts, Just wanted to know if its ok to use E10 fuel in my 2001 V6, hysterically i have used the "old" E5 supplemented with Millers petrol additive and Bernie runs like a dream!. Returning home yesterday (29/8) all petrol stations seem to be labelling the E5 pumps as E10,...

Re: Chicken tonight!
If you have been getting water there then I would suggest that you check the drain pipe on the windscreen gulley isn't blocked, the other bit of concern is that when it overflows from the gulley it falls over the control module for the fan speed and then ends up in the bottom of the fan casing as o...

Re: Key Fob communicating to mother ship!
Thanks for all your comments fellow Bongonauts. Hope to strip out door in the spring, possible water ingress could be causing the gremlins. Stay safe and a very Happy Xmas to all

Re: Key Fob communicating to mother ship!
Yup the Make and model of the fob and remote locking system! The locking system on the Bongo's did change after 2000 at some point. Thanks Geoff, The key fob is black but with no other markings. I can live with this, but i guess further investigation would require taking f/o/s door card off to iden...

Re: Key Fob communicating to mother ship!
Do you know the make & model it might be a function that's been turned on by error? Hi Geoff a bit confused. I assumed it was the same across all models my is 2001 V6. Is it possible the fob is faulty and sending a signal to close central locking? Or maybe it needs to be re-programmed (if that'...

Re: Key Fob communicating to mother ship!
Wow that was quick Bob,
Problem seems to have started about a month ago, this does not seem to happen if i leave fob in house and go "old school" and use a key and then this issue does not seem to happen (hence the comms to mother ship!)

Keeping Bongo Damp Free
Morning Bongonauts,
Just a tip to keep Bongo dry and damp free in the winter months. Poundland wardrobe hanging damp traps (£1 ) pop a couple in every 6 weeks, really rips the damp from the atmosphere in the van .
Kind Regards Paul.

Key Fob communicating to mother ship!
Good Morning Bongonauts, Hope you are safe and well. Just a slight query, my keyfob opens and closes central locking no problem, but also locks me in the van after about 30 seconds (with keyfob) not sure what is causing this ! Is Bernie trying to tell me something! I have replaced the battery in the...

Re: Headlamps and what to do!
Morning Bongonauts, Thanks again for your replies, especially Bob! I was just thinking that perhaps decent front spot/fog lights would be a good solution, Bernie does not have factory fogs fitted, forgive my lack of knowledge, could this mean that the appropriate wiring would be in place in order to...
