Re: engine number
Thanks. Well, I am in communication with Snapon in the hope of getting their kit to read engine management codes. They asked for the number to determine whether this will work. I am not optimistic but this is their response so far: Being a diesel engine then it may not be EOBD compliant as this wasn...

Re: Diagnostic Tool Help
Resurrecting my post, I found this Snap-on KB [1] and purchased items [2] and [3] for use with their Solus Pro Scanner (which a mechanic friend has). Trying to read the codes, I get 'no connection' consistently. The vehicle ignition is on and the lighter socket has power for the Snap-on power cable ...

Re: Heater takes a while to produce warm air
I'm running a diesel and timing it properly, it does indeed take about 10 minutes to warm up. Good to know that's expected and nothing is wrong.
Thanks all for your replies.

Heater takes a while to produce warm air
Hello there, My Bongo's heater takes quite a while to produce anything like warm air. I would say about 15 to 20 minutes. Watching the 'Bongo bleed' videos mentions the heater matrix having air pockets possibly. The coolant was replaced a year or so ago but shows no sign of being low (I have a coola...

Re: glow plug replacement
Thanks for the reply. As an aside, the replacement turned out to be much simpler than the video suggested. I removed the connecting bar and power cable giving me fairly straight forward access to the plugs.

Hello all,
I'm about to tackle replacement of the glow plugs on my 2002 vehicle. Found this useful video [1] but any idea where I can find the torque settings for reinstall? Also any tips or gotchas?
Thanks!

Re: Intake Air Temperature Sensor
I dont think your vehicle will have a IATs,the only air temp sen would probably be the scavenger fan Sensor. This diagram [1] matches my Bongo, so hopefully it's the correct sensor. SENSOR,IN.AIR TEMP N3A118845 18845 SENSOR,IN.AIR TEMP And here [2] is the part with matching reference MAZDA: N3A1-18...

Re: Intake Air Temperature Sensor
Could I ask, what is the fault with the vehicle and where / how did you obtain that code? My Bongo is going into limp mode (flashing hold and glow plug lights). I read the error using this guide [1]. For the error in question, I'm trying the steps suggested here [2] since it's cheaper than a garage...

Intake Air Temperature Sensor
Hello,
My Bongo is producing an ECU error of P1112 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Intermittent, so I'm after an Intake Air Temperature Sensor as a first step to fixing.
I'm having trouble locating the sensor, any ideas? My Bongo is a 2002 2.5 Diesel 4WD.
Thanks

Diagnostic Tool Help
Hello there... I'm trying to determine whether a diagnostic tool will work on my 2002 2.5 diesel. The connection looks like this, which I believe is an OBD1 17 PIN type: http://www.philmcfadden.co.uk/MazdaDiagnosticBox.htm Will this tool [1] work with a suitable adapter [2]?
