Re: Airlift 1000

I have 35psi in at the mo. I think like you a set of spacers are whats needed to make them work properly so the hunt is on.

Re: Airlift 1000

I have just fitted mine today but I have the valves to the top. I managed to route the pipes through a small hole in the top spring mounts. I have placed the inflation valve next to the fuel filler behind the flap. I have noticed that when the wheels are on the ground the bags are a little loose in ...

Re: front fan help

Fitted a new resistor pack and it did the same thing, obviously a dead short but still did not blow a fuse. Turned out the fan motor was seizing in its bush it was stiff to turn by hand,I stripped the...

Re: Coolant Change

Just a thought, after draining would it be worth filling up using hot water? I have done this in the past to help rebuilt engines with initial starting, perhaps it would speed up bleed time a bit.

Re: burning smell when going up very steep hill!!

I have noticed this when going up some steep passes in europe. I put it down to the spongy matting on the plastic undertray being contaminated by oil spills on it and getting hot then smelling.

Suspension springs.

I think my Bongo is a bit soft in the suspension department, seems to roll a lot in corners. Now I appreciate its a van but I did a bit of research on tinternet and found a local spring manufacturer who can "reset" my springs. Apparently they put them in a furnace stretch them to origional...

Re: Glow plug relay

Update to my little problem. Received the second hand relay, fitted it and everything ok now so looks like my guess was right.........which was nice!

Also decided to fit a low coolant alarm for piece of mind, really good bit of kit, well made and easy to fit, ta Haydn.

Re: Glow plug relay

Thanks for the suggestion, I have just checked all the 10 amp fuses and they are all ok.

I have found a second hand relay on *bay for £15 so I'll try that and see what happens.

Glow plug relay

Hi All, Bongo failed to start for the first time this week. Its a diesel turbo 4wd aft 1995. I have so far: Checked feed to glow plug rail using multimeter, zero. ( I'm guessing it should be 12 volts?) Checked continuity from relay to glow plug rail, seems ok. Checked feed through relay when switche...
