Re: World's smallest Bongo meet, Devil's Staircase
Small meets are good too . =D> Here's a glimpse of ours on Portsdown Hill. That's Portsmouth you can just see in the background.... http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab9/wise-child/The%20new%20Bongo%20Aero/3Bongos.jpg http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab9/wise-child/The%20new%20Bongo%20Aero/Bongo...

Re: Discount Trucks, Newbury
Yet again, Discount Trucks get 10/10 from me. Thanks to their pre-MOT checks and excellent customer service my Bongo sailed thru its MOT with flying colours. Fred is always happy to explain every step of the way what he is thinking/doing and always goes the extra mile. It may be a bit of a trudge fr...

Re: Slug impersonations, (2 litre, intermittent sluggish)
Thanks for the suggestions Missfixit70. Will get these posssibilities looked into by someone who knows one end of a Bongo from another! At least I can give some pointers. There is no smoke that I am aware of btw, just from my ears when I pull out, the Bongo grinds almost to a halt for a few seconds ...

Re: power loss and HOLD light flash
Probably best to start a separate topic for yours WC as it's a 2litre petrol - different kettle of fish, could get confusing  I said I wasn't mechanically minded, lol. I've reposted as a new topic. Good luck with yours Paramatt PS MissF... not sure I like my name shortened to WC - I sound lik...

Slug impersonations, 2 litre, intermittent sluggish
I seem to have a power loss issue recently. My Bongo is a 2L petrol. Bongo was serviced just a few weeks ago so all filters et al were checked and/or changed and in general the vehicle is an all round good egg. The prob is intermittant but seems to have developed a notable aversion to hills . I do r...

Re: power loss and HOLD light flash
Over the last few months it seems to lose power climbing steep hills... I seem to have a power loss issue too. My Bongo is a 2L petrol. Bongo was serviced just a few weeks ago so all filters etc were checked and/or changed. The prob is intermittant but like Paramatt seems to have developed an avers...

Re: Bongo in Fareham, Hampshire
If you have a Satnav the pubs postcode is PO6 3LS As Eat Aunt says, views are absolutely breathtaking. The IOW is clear, Portsmouth looks like toy-town, you can see from nr the Witterings in Sussex all along the coast to Fawley, and on a really clear day you can just see the coast of France on the h...

Re: New Forest
Can find out site if you need it. Thanks for the offer Eat Aunt, but I'm a regular at Setthorns - just not taken a Bongo before and heard that they are tightening up on what they charge for and how they assess you. I'm going to Cornwall soon to a recommended site which thankfully charge by person a...

Re: Seat runner removal
Good news is that I not only got that wretched pin out in the end, but my kitchen is now fully in situ, yay! I even relocated my spare table the other side of the van.
All in all, I'm feeling pretty chuffed with the change!

Re: Vehicle Excise Duty For Bongos
Hopefully my worries are resolved at a reasonable price. My Bongo was registered as a campervan but sold to me as an MPV. I managed to buy a small mid kitchen unit from a BF member and fitted it last night, so I'm now technically legal - phew!

Yep, that wonderful multi-purpose tool. I find it brilliant as a decompressor as well - I get steamed up, I thump something and the pressure abates....dave_aber wrote:Ahhhhh, the good old air cooled percussion adjuster.......
