where should this vacuum hose connect to ?

... rpm.
Going thru the usual service stuff first, have changed the fuel filter, cleaned the banjo (found it was very blocked!!) and tomorrow i'll be doing the glow plugs (waiting long socket set to get glow-plug bus-bar bolts off).

One thing I have found which may be causing the issue of the bongo not ...

Flashing Glow Plug Light - unable to diagnose

... journeys)

I have tried a few different things including cleaning the banjo filter, started using Millers Oil(but only used it once so far) and drilling a small hole in petrol cap(as that did seem to have a vacuum within it when unscrewed and we'd stopped)

I am struggling to diagnose it as the ...

Re: dodgy running with video for example

Its unusual not to find a filter under the spring.
Theres another banjo filter on the back of the pump but you have to strip the pump to access it. That's not an easy job.
You could pour some diesel cleaner and run that through.

Re: dodgy running with video for example

On the fuel line to the diesel pump, theres a banjo filter. Take it out. Clean it. Refit. We've seen the dirty filter cause these problems several times and this might be the simple fix you need.

Re: Ask me Banjo..

Its often been reported that there isn't a filter present, I suspect that some get damaged when extracted other maybe never fitted possibly depending on date etc. Not sure that there available to buy either.

Ask me Banjo..

Hey folks, Happy New Year to y’all.. ga question re the Banjo filter.

I’ve a ‘98 Diesel Auto and have suffered some engine cut outs at low speed recently, I’ve gone the simple route, first cleaned the filler cap to ensure it’s breathing okay, now looking at the Banjo filter, however, mine doesn’t ...

Re: 2l Petrol Starting Issue

The fuel filter is less likely to be the cause unless someone has been unscrewing it or replacing it, the seals don't normally just fail in-situ.
No only the diesel has the additional banjo filter. For the petrol engines the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank itself and then feeds the rest of the system ...

... t prove too expensive.

Would you also advise to change the fuel filter?

What about the "Banjo" filter? (I don't even know if the petrol vehicles have one!) Should I take a look at that too?

Re: WL2.5 TD Sick and Running rough

UPDATE
Removed and replaces banjo bolt copper washers checked with a still tank on inlet pipe to eliminate fuel filter, Still Rough.
Checked return pipe into a still tank air bubbles on returning fuel ? Must be an internal air leak into the system NO External Leaks.
Pump is clean and dry on the outside ...

Re: WL2.5 TD Sick and Running rough

Have you checked the fuel filter and the small banjo filter ? Does it rev up to below turbo speed and then go flat ? Might be turbo ?
