Re: Fixings for radiator top mount and air scoop

... I'll nip along after work.

Re. The radiator top mounts, I'll have another look, as it does look like the radiator is sitting too low for the rubber mounts to be doing anything useful; the radiator is free to wiggle forward and back as much as it likes at the moment.

Just noticed one of my ...

Re: AFT Wiring diagram

Yes it sounds like the motors are stalling due to being unable to raise the roof. Often its down to the rubber seal sticking to the roof, the two front corners are likely areas, there should be plastic pads attached to the roof to stop this happening but sometimes they are missing and the rubber then ...

Re: Bongo Cooling System

The preferred method is vacuum filling, provided the rubber pipes are in good condition and won't split when the vacuum is applied and then the coolant added to fill the now empty space with minimal air left in the pipework.
Do bear in mind however that the Friendee/Freda vehicles tend to suffer ...

The T Piece came from Halfords 5mm equal Tee. Halfords part No. FIXG229 and a couple of metres of 5mm internal dia rubber hose along with jubilee clips. As mentioned before, cut into the pipe leading from head to Turbo. I actually replaced this pipe with new and fitted the T piece so the horizontal ...

Re: Bongo and conversion: Will up to 10k get us what we need?

If someone has looked after their Bongo, they will clearly be stating it in the sale. looked after is in my opinion:

Changed all the rubber and metal pipes on the diesel engine, maybe cut the rear heater out of the cooling system.
(and has receipts to prove it all)
Undersealed it within the last 3-4 ...

This insulation does state ‘reduces condensation’ but you think it’s a no to insulating the side panels?

Insulation - should I?

... covering the metal plate (fuel tank access?) - just straight over all the unevenness of the floor, then carpet on top.
There are also little rubber plugs all over the floor that must be there for a reason (drain plugs?) - i’m thinking those who Lino or ply the floor cover these anyway - so is ...

Re: Rotten Gearbox oil cooler pipes - HELP!!

I had the same thing happen with another diesel I had, I went to a scrapyard and sourced another oil cooler and connected the rubber pipes to that and fashioned a bracket which I fitted beneath the original, worked fine till I sold the vehicle on.

Basically they're just a small radiator, the original ...
