Re: Rough start but then no problem at all

... runs down before you get enough fuel through. I'd also check the banjo filter and clean it out and make sure it has had a fuel filter change sometime recently.

... e gone issue, won't rev above 1200 rpm. I have now replaced the fuel filter, looked OK, no sludge. I'm now considering my next step and would welcome suggestions moving forward. Fuel pump maybe? How easy is it to change? Where is it? Is it mechanical or electric? Hopefully someone who ...

Re: Russian oil tests (on many brands of oil)

Will do a change every 4-5K miles from now on
Same here. The oil and filter costs £20 and takes 15mins to change with 10 of those for draining it (1 cup of tea) so can't see the point in leaving it in there for 10K.

Re: Russian oil tests (on many brands of oil)

The translated Bongo manual gives the oil change as 15000km (circa 9300miles) or every year for the FE. I did my first oil/filter change since ownership (last serviced) at roughly 4000miles with 10w/40 semi from ECP's. Will ...

Effect of soot build up in oil ? (Diesel)

I have touched on this previously. As I gather oil change on Diesel Bongo is officially 6 months, which in my mind seems somewhat ... interval mind you. :) I do our oil approx every 12 months and the oil filter every 2 changes as I only do 4,000 - 5,000 miles per year. I suspect there ...

Re: Air filter

Some people like to fit cone type filters to get more induction noise but on a Bongo I cant see why that would be any ... MAF filters. Air filters are so cheap that for me I think it makes sense to change them every oil change. I can see that if you couldn't get to the air box because ...

Re: fuel oils

Do get a new fuel filter to KEEP in the bongo
As the veg oil will clean out tank and fuel lines for the first few months
And has been known to cause a blocked filter and leave you stranded miles from no where
Change filter after a few months and get another to keep in there ( Sod's law )
