Bored with Butties LIVE phase 34

Talk about non-Bongo stuff. BUT KEEP IT CLEAN....there are children watching. Smut, filth, and anything offensive will not be tolerated and removed immediately.

Bored with Butties LIVE phase 34

Post by Muzorewa » Fri Aug 20, 2010 12:44 pm

Welcome from Cae Du campsite in Gwynedd for this live (almost) version of Bored with Butties. DebbiePritch is to blame for this, it was all her idea [-(

Image

Image
Laverbread – allegedly a delicacy in Wales. Made from real seaweed, unlike that phoney stuff you get in Chinese restaurants which is really shredded cabbage.

Image
Open the seaweed. Open some beer as well, that seems a better option at this point

Image
As this is the live version you can see some of the elaborate production methods involved

Image
:-&

Image
More beer, I think

Image
Add the contents of the seaweed tin to some oatmeal....

Image
....mix together....

Image
....until you have something like this :-#

Image
Roll it into a gelatinous lump....

Image
....it’s a pity you don’t get the smell at this point [-X

Image
....work the mixture into patties....

Image

Image
Hmmmm, smells, erm, revolting

Image
....now try to remove this mess from your hands & camera

Image
Ignite some charcoal in a small brazier....

Image
....and get ready to cook

Image
Fry some bacon. Well at least this bit looks ok

Image
....and the scenery isn’t too shabby either

Image
As it’s a Team effort, Mrs Muz can have a go too. And eat some of it

Image

Image
Jr too

Image

Image
Hmmm, this looks promising....

Image
Fry the laverbreads in the bacon fat with some eggs....

Image
....and serve to an anxious audience :?

The verdict – Think fish haggis =;

Image
Go on, I dare you

Well done Muz, absolutely fabulous, outside broadcast. The site looks really good and glad to see you are having such a nice holiday. Take the bacon and eggs off you anytime but I am not up for trying the other stuff. That little brazier is getting quite handy, I am getting jealous of that now. Take care Trish

Indeed, we're going to try barbecuing with it this weekend or next week so we can jettison the big barbie and go lightly packed to Scotland in a week's time. After all, it's about time we went on tour, we've been home a day now

You are making Mark jealous. We don't have our container yet but when it arrives and the BBQ arrives on it, it can be plugged into our gas point on the balcony and off we go!
