Bored with Butties phase 42

Talk about non-Bongo stuff. BUT KEEP IT CLEAN....there are children watching. Smut, filth, and anything offensive will not be tolerated and removed immediately.

Bored with Butties phase 42

Post by Muzorewa » Thu Oct 14, 2010 1:18 pm

Apologies in advance for anyone momentarily ecstatic and now severely disappointed to learn that it’s not Friday already, there’s a cunning reason for this appearing today

Right, time for the Team Muz invention, Spamella which we trialled in 2009 at the Renault World Series event at Silverstone with no shortage of willing victims to try it out – paella with Spam substituted for the fish. In fact, substituting all the conventional ingredients (apart from the rice dummy, it’s not going to be much of a paella without rice, is it?) with premium tinned fare. This would be another contender for Lupe Pinto’s book “the half-canned cooks”

If you don’t like pork then I’m afraid this isn’t for you. I’ll see if I can track down some halal Spam which may be more acceptable :?

Spam, chilli-dogs, meatballs, chorizo, onion, garlic and rice.

Image
Fry the chorizo, onion & garlic in a small-ish paella pan....

Image
....then add some premium Fray Bentos meatballs....

Image
....some chopped chilli-dogs....

Image
....some Spam (other health foods are available)....

Image
....mix together on the heat....

Image
....add some rice....

Image
....and keep mixing....

Image
....add some peas (to keep the “green party” happy  )

Image
....mix it up....

Image
....and enjoy a simple, tasty and hearty meal

Remember that this delight can also be prepared on a more grandiose scale....

There’s an alternative version of this which will appear tomorrow for all you Friday people

Indeed, and quite hot they are too. Not as hot as the Stagg Dynamite Hot chili used in Phase 40a though, that requires Kryptonite plates

Hi
Now that's what would come into the category of :-
GUTBASH
HOGSWALLER
DUFF
and so on....highly filling, comfortable to eat, everyone enjoys, and you feel like you've eaten something familiar, tasty, and more-ish, but with no more room to fit another mouthful
If you put tinned fruit in, it would be "HASH M'GANDI", the beloved nosh of the Australian Road Train driver...Tony has another name which is unprintable
What more to say , but it's not far short of a nomination for a national dish
TOP SCRAN well done
P.S. ...I find Stagg Chilli a bit mild
Cheers
Helen
In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
