Bored with Butties phase 48

Talk about non-Bongo stuff. BUT KEEP IT CLEAN....there are children watching. Smut, filth, and anything offensive will not be tolerated and removed immediately.

Bored with Butties phase 48

This is ideal for hot summer lunches – remember them? For best results, get this prepared as soon as you get to work and then by lunchtime the marinade will have worked wonders. Salmon pitta-pockets, done in a lime, coriander & chilli marinade. Absolutely stunning!

Image
Salmon, prawns, mushrooms, coriander, chillis, limes & salad :?

Image
Skin the salmon. Now clean all the fish scales off the camera

Image
Chop the coriander & chillis and slice the mushrooms

Image
Dissect the limes. I only wanted four but four were £1.20 and five were £1.00 #-o

Image
Squeeze the limes into a bowl and mix with the chillis & coriander

Image
Stick the salmon in a bowl with the mushrooms....

Image
....and prawns....

Image
....and add the marinade

Image
Make sure all the salmon is covered....

Image
....and bung it all in the fridge until lunchtime 8)

Several hours later......

If I was doing this at home I’d now just bung that cazuela in the oven for half an hour. But I’m stranded in the Bongo so slop everything into a scorching pan....

Image
....and fry to within an inch of its life

Image
Meanwhile toast some pittas in a dry pan....what do you mean you only have one frying pan in your Bongo? :?

Image
....and enjoy a delicious, healthy lunch. :D Well, more healthy than fish & chips :?

Wow...need a new section called "BongoFoody" where budding chefs can post Bongo compatible recipes (two rings max and not much washing up required).
