If you’re doing this at home or in the Bongo with EHU, do a sun-dried tomato loaf as well in a bread-maker – absolutely wonderful. Alternatively, Asda sell bread

This version would qualify for the ‘half canned cooks’ book but if you want to be really sexy, use real potatoes, you know, those round muddy things you get from Tesco and have to wash them with a soap & flannel, then jump through all sorts of other hoops to make them edible.

For anyone who tried the Spam goulash from a couple of weeks ago, this is better. Much better. Nearly as good as the mackerel, AlphaBetti & tinned sprouts invention

Chorizo, chickpeas, tomatoes, spuds, onion, garlic, paprika, piri-piris & bacon

Fry the bacon....

....then the onion, paprika, garlic & piri-piris

Fry the chorizo....

....and add it to a large pan with the bacon & onion....

....then the tomatoes....

....chickpeas....

....and spuds.

To make it more substantial, add some long-grain rice as well and simmer for 20 minutes or so.

Serve with bread. ¡Delicioso!
