Talk about non-Bongo stuff. BUT KEEP IT CLEAN....there are children watching. Smut, filth, and anything offensive will not be tolerated and removed immediately.

Chorizo & chickpea stew, this is great, very easy to do and is ideal on these wintry camps we seem to be doing just lately. It is best done in a slow-cooker so if you’re on EHU, get this going in the morning and a few hours later you’ll have an amazing meal ready. Better still, set this off before you set off on a long hill-walk in the Lakes, then when you get back, exhausted, you’ll have a treat awaiting your return. A burnt-out Bongo due to some dodgy wiring [-X

If you’re doing this at home or in the Bongo with EHU, do a sun-dried tomato loaf as well in a bread-maker – absolutely wonderful. Alternatively, Asda sell bread

This version would qualify for the ‘half canned cooks’ book but if you want to be really sexy, use real potatoes, you know, those round muddy things you get from Tesco and have to wash them with a soap & flannel, then jump through all sorts of other hoops to make them edible.

For anyone who tried the Spam goulash from a couple of weeks ago, this is better. Much better. Nearly as good as the mackerel, AlphaBetti & tinned sprouts invention  :-&

To make it more substantial, add some long-grain rice as well and simmer for 20 minutes or so.

Serve with bread. ¡Delicioso!
