

Quails, herbs & spices, tomatoes, chickpeas, onion & dried apricots (could be prunes


Take the quails into the gents toilet and wash thoroughly. This may cause a puzzled look from anyone still at work


Ginger, cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, chilli flakes and garlic

Chop half an onion and some parsley & coriander

Set fire to some charcoal in a brazier. The lingerie department at Marks & Spencer is not the place to go for a brazier


Put the quails into the tagine.

Scatter over the onion....

....and herbs & spices. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Cook for a few minutes....

....then mix and add some stock, tomatoes, chickpeas & apricots.

An hour later....

....get ready with the cous cous....

....this is looking good....

....sprinkle with flaked almonds and sesame seeds....

...serve with chopped fresh parsley & coriander leaves, and cous cous.

Now isn’t that better than watching England vs Slovenia?
