Hi
Can anyone tell me how to change the rear brake lights in the rear door of the Ford Freda?
I thought I could remove the rear door card to access the bulb, but the plastic membrane (which prevents condensation) is still intact & can't believe that bulb hasn't gone in the last 10 years!
There are 4 nuts & bolts which look like they would allow you to remove the whole light assembly from the door but that doesn't work either.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I guess you have the later style from 1999/2000 onwards with the light clusters on the tailgate? There are no brake lights in the rear door, only sidelights. Not changed them myself, but I believe you will need to cut round the outside of the plastic sheet to gain access, but you can tape it back up again with gaffer tape to seal it again. I think you may need to undo the 2 bolts holding the tailgate handle above the number plate too. Once all the fixings are undone, the panel should just 'pop' off.

This could help give an idea what's going on too... http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... 3of03.html
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
