Half of Team Muz were required to sort a few things out for Grandma at the weekend and it was suggested that I take Muzette out of the way to avoid interruptions. Where to go, where to go................Shell Island – heard a lot about it but never been, weather looking good – Let’s do it!
Muzette disappeared at the first opportunity and left me to set up camp
The two approaches to fishing....
....and the two approaches to relaxing
Relaxing with a nice glass of Ribena
Muzette in charge of tea
Salmon, prawns & mushrooms, barbecued Spam and cheeseburgers
Sunday the same as Saturday
Where else can you get this chilled and no noisy neighbours?
Shell Island, Wales

Looks like you had a wonderful weekend and your pitch was second to none. Where exactly is Shell Island?

Directly west from Llanbedr, between Harlech and Barmouth. It's not really an island but it is only accessible via a causeway which is sometimes flooded by the tide.

Anyway, haven't you seen these 'surf & turf' combo meals that are all the rage these days?

Fab story and pics as ever Muz - that one of the Bongo lost in the sand dunes is calendar material, for the story it tells.
We had a fab weekend in the Lakes, Bongo stonkingly good as ever, but busy carting 7 adult size people about so not as gloriously chilled out as you though we did have a couple of beautifully scenic picnics out of the back of it.

looks deserted...........(no pun intended ), when we went to shell island a couple of years back and it was heaving, there were tents everywhere, you couldnt walk 3 metres without bumping into a tent car or campervan (with awning ).
We had the same weather too, brilliant red hot sunshine from on the way there to the moment we got home.
