Re: finding campsites!!
No idea where you'll find details of other sites, that www.ukcampsite.co.uk site should be pretty comprehensive but, depending on how many you have in your party have you considered wild-camping - maybe use a proper site every two or three nights so you have some proper facilities and that way you'll considerably reduce your costs. All depends whether your Bongo is converted and whether you're happy to keep moving.

Re: finding campsites!!
Could try the tourist information local to where you are going as well.
They sometimes have sites that aren't listed on uk campsites.

Re: finding campsites!!
we are members of The Camping and Caravanning club and use the Certificated Sites. Small five unit sites, some with limited facilities but cheap as chips usually. We sometime just google "campsites in Cornwall" and see what comes up.

For future reference, as mentioned above, joining the Camping & Caravanning Club may be worthwhile financially. In addition to the Certificated Sites mentioned, the District Associations and Special Interest Sections organise what are known as Temporary Holiday Sites. They are open to all, regardless of how you camp (ie the British Caravanners' Club Section welcome tents, Bongos etc, etc). Sometimes they take over a rugby club, or school sports field and other times they take over a section of a proper campsite. At Easter, we spent nine nights at Hendra Holiday Park near Newquay courtesy of the Cornwall BCC section and spent a grand total of £8.50 per night inclusive of electricity as opposed to the £22-odd that the general public were paying. We had use of all the facilities (bar, club, kids' club, indoor pool (costs extra anyway, but we had a 50p discount), play areas, etc, etc) plus two free cream teas laid on by the stewards (optional - you don't have to have anything to do with them just because they organised it, but we thought it would be rude not to join in a little bit).
Total cost to us for the holiday £76.50. Total cost to the uninitiated £198. Membership fee is currently £40 a year so we still made a net saving of over £80 although at those prices we can afford to go away several times.

Re: finding campsites!!
Good tip Alison.
We camped on a CS, in Cornwall, last August for £3.50 per night for the pitch, ie the whole family could stop for that.
Also, if you're over 55 (like me) there is a discount at their main sites out of main season. We just stayed in Cambridge for a tenner a night.

We went to this to this site in Devon
http://www.forest-glade.co.uk/
We couldnt fault it, pools tiny but didnt need it.
And this one in Cornwall for the last two years
http://www.monkeytreeholidaypark.co.uk/home
If you have kids and they like fishing they have a well run animal / fishing area, the couple who run it are excellent and very good with the kids

I know of a very small but good site in LLanystumdwy near Criccieth, but trying to find the details as its not on the web
