Rear Heater Query

Post by 2newbies » Sun Feb 16, 2014 1:20 pm

About 18 month ago I replaced the radiator and water pump. Whilst bleeding the system as per youtube video I was under the impression at the time that the rear heater fan wasn't working so just carried on with the slider in the hot position and front heater fans working. Completed the bleed and have been driving with no problem ever since.
Have now realised after looking on the forum that the rear fan operates from the front switch.
So my question now is, can I use the rear heater safely - now I know how to turn it on! - or do I need to rebleed?
Hope that's not too stupid a question...
Thanks as always
Paul
(p.s. am I getting toooo paranoid about overheating...?)

Hi ,these old bangers don't have any heater water control valves, the water(coolant)flows constantly through the heater (matrix)both front and rear.
