Side door stuck....

I have read most if not all of the many posts on this subject and have twice been successful with the 'hit it hard on the inside of the door' solution. When I have done this, the door seems to open and close a few times, but next time I come to use the van, same problem of stuck door.

Im no mechanic, but managed to get the door card out of the way and am covered in the dreaded black sticky stuff. I now have the entire door contents on view and can see what is and isnt happening. What Im hoping some-one will know, is (given that I cant keep whacking the door every couple of days) what bit/switch should I replace ?

Also, if I get it open again, is it possible to disable the electric close facility and just use the door as a regular door ? Im also assuming as this seems quite a common problem, that if I took the van to a bongo specialist, would they be aware of the problem and therefore solution ?

Have you tried spraying electrical contact cleaner on all relevant parts. My Bongo switches can get a little temperamental in cold/damp weather and I bought some Comma stuff from Amazon that gets good reviews and seems to work well.

Thanks for that will get some spray. Its still playing up, but Im not sure its anything to do with all the bells and whistles at the front of the door as I have discovered that if I get my fingers in the gap at the right/rear of the door and give it a good tug whilst pulling on the handle, something frees itself and the door pops open.
Any ideas what that might be ?

Is the door alignment correct? It can be adjusted to make sure it hangs square etc.

I spray the side door moving bits and the runner with silicon spray
Quite regually on my van and once in a while on the bongo
Works wonders

After many weeks, Im sure I have figured out the problem. Just need some way of fixing it.

With the side door open, you can see the main rubber seal that the door closes onto. At the bottom left (as you look at it from outside), the seal bends in a curve through 90 degrees from vertical to horizontal. Part of the door mechanism (black triangular(ish) bracket) brushes the top of the seal/rubber (I cant see exactly whats going on to be sure) as the door closes and opens and I think it is this that makes it so difficult to open the next time.

The seal gets dragged from its 'corner' and moved and inch or so to the right when the door is opened. After opening therefore, I push the seal back into place (which has come slightly away from the car in the corner) and the next time I go to open it, it just opens...

What I need to do it fix the seal in place with glue or similar to stop it being moved by the door bracket. Any suggestions as to a suitable adhesive.
