Re: August Bank Holiday weekend 28th - 31st of August
South Lakes Zoo I think is magic, Stuc We and family go there quite often and there is cheap entry in the winter months although worth paying for the welfare of the animals.
Another place I would recommend as I went with Karena at the weekend is Conishead Priory, beautiful walks though acres of woodland and a shingle beach. Now owned by Buddist's who have invested a lot of time and money into the original building. We met a man with two dogs who told us all about the gauged railway that was built there as a folly but the miners later used.
Dear Brian lol

What great pics Brian and thanks so much for posting them (except for the ones of me maybe.......oh dear, its all heading south )
Muz will have to watch out if he's not to lose his unbroken run of several years as Bongotographer of the Year
See you at the next one hopefully.
Mike, Trish and Lexi the dog
P.S. For the benefit of the casual visitor to this thread, the skydivers, geese, that plane, Blackpool Tower......and the moon........are all much further away than they appear

Trish sends her thanks to Brian for the lovely pics. The ones of Lexi have found their way onto Facebook already!
Re: August Bank Holiday weekend 28th - 31st of August
Sorry we have missed all the Allithwaite meets this year as they have all unfortunately clashed with us being away of family dos.
We are going to Sherwood Forest and Silverdale in October so hope to catch up then.
Brian & Chris.
