Cam Belt Change Cost

Post by mellon man » Sat Apr 09, 2016 10:20 am

Hi
What should be an average cost to get my Cam Belt changed?
It's a 2.5 Diesel.
Had a quote of £200 just for labour from local garage.
Advice Please...................... Thanks..

Wow really. I must have got a bargain! I supplied the kit from the club shop and my local garage did it for a couple of hours labour (I think around £80)

Ah, I'd missed labour only, that is a bit high compared with round here.

Thanks for help (I do love this forum) I did feel it was a bit expensive, now confirmed.
Can anyone recommend a Bongo friendly garage in the South East Wales area that I could try?
Have tried to contact local Bongo/Freda specialist called the Torfaen Showroom Pontypool (that are always advertising on Gumtree) by phone calls, text & email but can not get them to reply, so not giving me much confidence in them, have any members had any dealings with them?

Celtic Motorhome use a garage near them in Caerphilly but of course I can't remember the name.

Ed will likely tell you if you ring him.
