Tyre pressures
Tyre pressures
I have 215/55 17 tyres all round on my Bongo. I'm a bit unsure as to the correct pressures to apply. Your collective wisdom would be most helpful!
Re: Tyre pressures
I have standard steel wheels and run 38 psi front 40 psi rear.
There is a calculator for caravan tyres which is worth a look:

Just remember Bongy has 4 wheels, not 2.

Re: Tyre pressures
As you're not running standard wheels it might have to be a bit of experimenting however I have run 18" and now 15" and have both of them set to 40psi all round for convenience but also because it seems to give best suspension/fuel economy etc

Re: Tyre pressures
I tend to stick to 40 all round as I'm usually carrying a bit of weight (Don't go there) or towing a small trailer. Plus - it's easier to remember!

Re: Tyre pressures
I think all Bongo's carry a bit of weight to be fair Jilly!
(PS that was very tongue in cheek earlier on the now locked post, just very fed up with the negativity)

Re: Tyre pressures
Thanks to everyone! Good advice, as usual. I'm off with the old girl on a boat to Spain on Saturday. Hoping to spend a bit of quality time touring around with my two best girls (one being our faithful old Bongo).
