Sliding door mechanism

Post by ShawBongo » Fri Sep 14, 2012 2:57 pm

Hi there, me again. Finding this forum very useful but cant find the answer i'm looking for on this one...........

The sliding door mechanism keeps whirrrring away when im driving. It stops eventually but it is getting really annoying.

What are the possible causes and cures for this?

the only things I can think of that either its not fully closing is anything in the way of it being shut hard, the other is the mechanics itself, there must be a switch or censor to say its shut and to switch off the actuator, have a look its not a big thing ,my panel is off at the moment looking for an actuator for the central locking. First thing is clean the 5 contacts on the door and door post, the sprung ones are for the door close mech and the two fixed ones are the door lock. They are powered so use a light sandpaper or kitchen cleaner sponge, don't use wire wool!
