Erm, not the thermostat. The thermostat is part of the cooling system on the engine. Dunno what your engine is, but on a V6 it's in the housing behind the A/C belt at the front:

On the diesel engine, it's on the near side front near the dipstick and the housing can be seen here middle / right:

round disk with links from a servo

look for one disconected


This referred to the heater controls not the thermostat.

The thermostat was mentioned as could be missing.(removed)

First thing is run it till warmed up and feel the 2 hoses to the hester

in the middle of the bulkhead,if both warm then the heater is warm

and it must be the controls

Very first problem I ever had (5 years ago) and easily solved. Been mentioned before in this thread but take a look at this thread - it has pics to look at.

When you say under the dash by steering do you mean I have to remove the dashboard? I can't see anything obvious?

Under the dash nearly on the floor a big black (heater)box. You don't have to remove anything.

Thanks I found it, can see servos and stuff. Too dark now for a proper look.
