plug in coolbox query

I wouldn't switch off the low voltage protection. One incident of flattening your LB is enough to ruin it. It's far too easily done.

I know, but it's a option and you'd think 1-2 days ought to be safe. I do have an lb voltmeter too so I can monitor. But I agree - it's Dodgey territory boom boom ha haDodgey wrote:I wouldn't switch off the low voltage protection. One incident of flattening your LB is enough to ruin it. It's far too easily done.
I'd love one of your solar kits but that and a waeco would break the bank

Just grab some chunky wire from halfords

or similar (much better value online etc)
and a cig socket

and hook it up to your LB and pass it through the gromet behind the SB. Won't take you half an hour and you have a decent socket for fridge use.

Ah but I want the fridge in the boot when travelling and don't fancy complicated hidden cabling. I did though buy and fit a better plug and socket and fitted it in parallel to the existing rear ciggie socket, as the latter made an unreliable and hot connection (=voltage/power wasting) with the cool box. Now need more similar plugs but have forgotten what Halfords) plug type it wasDodgey wrote:Just grab some chunky wire from halfords
