Heater Controls

Post by iammrbenn » Thu Sep 25, 2014 3:19 am

Apologies if this is a silly question from the outset!!

Is it possible to swap the manual controls for the heater for an automatic control? If so, what would need to be done in order to complete the job?

Thanks

Dave

Possible but pretty difficult. Ideally you'd need a donor vehicle to provide:

Complete heater unit including the motorised actuators
Transistor module instead of resistor pack
Dashboard controls
All associated wiring & connectors

Hi
Not only would I echo what Simon Says....I prefer manual controls...all my cars have had manual...I wouldn't have otherwise, as you can adjust to what you want as you drive...On a long journey, I often put the controls a bit warmer, as the cab cools, and that's always been more of a fiddle on those supposedly automatic versions!
Cheers

It's quicker to adjust from cold to hot too!! The auto versions go up in 0.5 degree steps .. tap, tap, tap ... tap, tap ....

;)
There's always a 'bigger picture'
