2.0 Mazda Bongo / Ford Freda HT lead and cap specification

Post by Purple Pixie » Sat Nov 01, 2014 11:00 pm

Greetings

Now I know how long the existing HT leads are, I can make myself some new ones....

The existing black leads appear to be resistive (suppressed) witness the resistor symbol on
the lead (?) ..... are the spark plug caps as well? Anyone know as I want to make up my own set of leads!

A commercially made set can be purchased for under £30: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAZDA-BONGO-1 ... 58b6ee65ca (just seems like a cheaper and easier option)

HT Lead (supppressed) 3 £1.51 £4.53
Spark plug ends 4 £0.58 £2.32
Spark plug end covers 4 £0.19 £0.76
4 of 90° Dizzy caps 4 £0.40 £1.60
4 of 90° Dizzy connectors 4 £0.34 £1.36

But the satisfaction in having done it? .... priceless!

Both companies supply many many bits and pieces
