Fitting a diesel heater and low coolant alarm

Post by andrewdean » Fri Apr 21, 2023 11:22 am

Hi
I am doing a couple of jobs at the moment.
Fitting a low coolant alarm
And fitting a Chinese diesel heater.
First question... which fuse do I tap into for my alarm?
Next, I will try to upload a picture!
I want to put my heater under the passenger seat but there is a load of garbage from the AC which is disconnected...so can I just chop it all off so I can fix the heater to the frame easily...?
Also does anyone know where I can get a bracket? All sold out on the internet.
Regards
Andrew tel 07742423193 call me if you want

If you want to add images then look down below the text input area and you will see "Options" and "Attachments" Take attachments and then
"Add Files" select the image and choose "Place inline".

For fusing the Coolant alarm use a mini-piggy back fuse holder and the middle row of the internal fuse box far right any of the three fuses Red 10 Amp, Yellow 20 Amp or Green 30 Amp, you will only need a low current 5 Amp or less fuse for protecting the actual wire to the alarm itself.

The bits under the passenger seat need to be moved around to make space see this link for various positions depending on engine/LPG etc. http://www.g8dhe.net/bongo_images/Heate ... ol_bongos/

Hi
Below is a pic of the space under the passenger seat where I will put my heater.
Most of what is there I think is redundant cooling system stuff....can i just bin it?
Mine is a Nreg 2.5 litre diesel.
Ps... fitted the alarm no worries...
Now heater...it's cold!!!!

The parts are not part of the Air Con, they are parts of the engine cooling and emission system including vacuum pipes that control the engine, you just need to reposition them around the supports to give the necessary room to mount the heater. Do not ditch the bits !!!

Ah...just in time!
Ok they will all be repositioned..
Any clues on adding a picture....it says it's 2.1MB does that affect anything?

In my first post I included a link to pictures taken by others of their installations, if you click the link you can view the images of the areas under the seat.

Hello
I have a diesel heater mounting plate, requires a 138mm hole cut in the floor. If it's of use private message me.
