A few people have asked how many club members we currently have. The answer is 895. Peak membership was in April 2009 when we had 3,650 members.

Dates have been confirmed for next Sewptember’s meeting which will be held at the Isle of Avalon site just outside Glastonbury. You will find details in the “Rallies & Meetings“section in the members area.

A combination of factors, including IT issues, a well deserved holiday and some other stuff has meant that the website has not been updated regularly and the office has not been open at times. But hopefully all sorted now!


19/10/25: Hours Of Fun

Whenever we get to hear about Bongos appearing in newspapers or magazines we like to keep a copy for the archive. Howver, during an IT upgrade most of this material was lost. But it has now been recreated and you can find the articles in the Press section of the members area, from the Essex County Standard in 2006 to the Guardian in 2025.

14/09/25: Parts Availability

There have been reports of difficulties getting through to AVALeisure (www.mazdabongo.com). I have checked this and there are indeed some operational difficulties of an unspecified nature. In the mean time, if you having difficulty sourcing parts then try the club shop or Autojap Spares who are very helpful.

There’s been a few revisions in the Bongoland Shop. We no longer supply exhausts as the supplier has shut down. And we are no longer able to supply the Wiring Diagrams on CD as my new kit does not have a CD drive,

Following the recent server migration we are aware that the links to relevant articles in the Press section of the members area no longer work. We are aware of this and normal sevice will be resumed as soon as possible. This is an important archive of articles about Bongos from over the years. Thanks to Ian Goodwin for reporting this.
