Re: Northstar Conversions Middle Swivel Seat

My advice to anyone about the swivel rear seat is if you don't need a forward facing seat for child seats etc just keep the original seat permanently reversed. The seat is good if you need to have if forward facing when moving but the downsides are- You loose a bit of storage space underneath the se...

Re: LOST ONLY KEY:(

The previous owner was kind enough to write a 5 digit key code which I hope is the correct one to get a key cut and not to a radio code! Just need to find someone who can cut a key from a serial number now to see if I’m in luck …. The key number is a 5 digit code between 10100 - 12283 The key numbe...

Re: Exploding Fusable Link

Connect a small filament bulb in place of the fuse, If it lights up the bulb when you turn the ignition on there is a direct short to earth. Cant imagine there is anything wrong with the fusible link, sounds like its doing its job.

Re: wheel temperatures while driving

Get yourself a contactless thermometer. Great piece of kit for checking for binding brakes. immediately after a run with lots of braking measure the temp of the wheels (or ideally on the brake discs). The front wheels will always be a good bit hotter than the rears but you are looking for a big diff...

Re: Remote Key Fob Questions

I went for a Toad Ai606 Cat1 alarm which now does my central locking. Was going to hang onto the fob incase i want to remove the alarm in the future & revert back to standard if i get rid of the van.

Re: Help - How much are we looking to pay for these fixes.....

A Pre MOT check could be done at any garage, even if they are not an MOT station. I only suggested using an MOT station so that you know it's going to be of the same standard as the actual test. Even if a pre MOT check is done at a testing station it's not an official thing, it's just a service that...

Re: Help - How much are we looking to pay for these fixes.....

The problem with a pre Ministery of transport test (mott), if it fails you can still be prosecuted for driving a vehicle in an unroadworthy condition (it will be logged) and you have missed the chance (if it passed) a fresh MOT certificate. Its really up to the owner but I know what I would do. tak...

PS you could even take the vehicle for a fresh MOTT for peace of mind, good luck.
Good idea but if there is still a fair bit left on the MOT I would put it in for a pre MOT check at a testing station, dont put it in for an actual MOT as if it fails it would make the current MOT invalid.

Do you leave the AFT in the open position when parked up? It must have taken a while to make this?

Re: Central Locking on main sliding door not working

Hi , is it that the sliding door will not open from inside or outside, if so, there has been a possibility that the battery has been disconnected or was very low when the sliding door was open? The Favorite trick is to hit t the door card about a third of the way down with the palm of your hand a c...

Re: Help - 'New' Bongo - 60mm ground clearance!!

I've just found another page where someone managed to buy / sell springs and shocks and just about break even. That may have been me? Mines used to bottom out all the time on speed bumps when first got it, I never even thought about it may have been lowered (I mean why would anyone lower a Bongo?)....

Re: renting out bongo

I wouldnt dream of doing this, especially if it was also my own vehicle, Sadly many people dont have the same respect of other peoples things as they would their own. I have seen so many examples of this first hand working for a breakdown company. There are people that just dont care & there are...
