Hello and welcome to a new experience in cooking. The point of a Dutch oven is that it is very efficient. You put coals or charcoal on the top and the bottom. The lid is designed for this. I can suggest two very good books. 101 Things to do with a Dutch Oveen by Vernon Winterton and Beginner's Guide...

His house was used by SOE during WW2. They could fly in and out using the air strip which is close to our campsite. They used the bay to practice landings using small craft off and on the beach..

It doesn't look as if the Wayfarer Inn is going to be ready. Lots of scaffolding and weather problems I think. My brother lives on the Barmouth Road near Harlech. Ps,Inn only 5 minute walk from site.

Re: insurance question

NFU have just quoted me £485 fully comp for a 1.4 Skoda Fabia. I have no issues etc other than I am over 75 and the stats say all over 75s should be treated as a poor risk.

Re: Khyam motordome classic - gutter fixing

If you look at the fig of 8 profile one side is very slightly different. Experiment with each side for best fit on the gutter, then mark best end with marker pen. I found that the harder the pull on the gutter the tighter the fix. Hope this helps. Bigbear
