Re: Bye bye Bongo
Oh dear, sad to say we're in the throes of selling our Freda. Quite an emotional time, I love it, but increased comfort appeals and a wee Motorhome has been bought. 1st call after getting ad in Autotrader was a scam! Basdits. We hope to join in group camps too, can't lose out on the company of the g...

Argyll, Knapdale
Lovely 5 days there last week at this site http://www.leachive.co.uk/index.htm Big part of the campsite is for residential so so they get the stunning view of the natural harbour. Plenty of space for tourers although only on shower each for males/females. Very popular for kayaker so. Good walks and ...

New destination
http://www.leachive.co.uk/index.htm Giving this one a try tomorrow for 4 nights, if they're not fully booked! Still waiting for a reply to our email. Not a brilliant forecast but SWMBO is hard to budge from the west coast, + it's less than 2 hours from home. Itching to get our first leisure trip in...

Re: Replacing rear wiper arm
Same happened with me.
I have that 'chiller' aerosol spray, seemed to help after a lot of faff.
Plenty of water proof grease applied on reassembly.
The wiper motor shaft is steel, the arm 'hub is alloy. dis-similar metal corrosion methinks.

Re: Cleaning the front fan / heater housing and motor.
Got me curious now, where is the rear heater fan? My front fan stopped working a few months ago and the advice on here was invaluable in stripping it out. I had nothing like shown in the above pictures but it certainly didn't turn freely. Bottom bearing was loaded with gunge and the speed control ha...

Re: November/December meet?
That's bad.
I was there a couple of times after it changed ownership, Dutch man with Scottish wife and his parents were involved too.
It was so popular with youngsters learning to waterski, and so nice to sit out on a sunny day after a blast up from Callander.

Last week I had a snow adventure too, the famous A83 that frequently has closures due to mud/Rock slides. Set off to Strachur in fairly heavy snow but only some slush on the climb up, different story on the way back about 10pm, snowing heavily all the way home to Helensburgh. Climb up to the Rest an...

Re: November/December meet?
The cafe at Lochearnhead with the water sports might let us use their car park. They had a fire last year and I don't know if it re-opened. Handy for the pub, Glen Ogle walks and mountain biking. Foot/cycling path back to Strathyre I think.
