Re: Bongo Camper conversion to hold mobility scooter - finis
Thanks guys! Yes, they did a properly cool job. I had a vague idea of what might work in theory but they really did take my rough sketches and make something that works perfectly out of them. Mike - I do indeed have a coolant alarm, fitted by Mr Northern Bongolow himself, if I remember correctly! Ye...

Bongo Camper conversion to hold mobility scooter - finished!
Here are the photos of my beautiful custom conversion, done by the lovely folks at http://www.moorescampers.co.uk/ who were more than happy to take on a completely bespoke project, and do a fantastic job of it as well. These pictures were taken by the convertors before I rammed all my stuff in there...

Re: Side conversions & engine access??
That's great, thanks very much guys! I'll pass that on to the converters, I know he was going to do some experiments as well but it's good to hear some opinions about existing conversions. Will post the pics when it's done.

Re: Side conversions & engine access??
OK thanks - is that with a full side conversion going right up behind the seat?
I use my walking stick to prop the seat up anyway for checking oil - I'm not physically able enough to take the seat out so would need to be able to continue to lift and prop it up.

Side conversions & engine access??
Hi, Hoping someone can give me some advice please! Those of you who have side conversions in your vans, how do you resolve the issue of engine access under the driver's side seat? Will the seat still tip back enough to allow access to the engine compartment beneath? Any advice would be great - my va...

Re: Interior floor plan with dimensions?
Thanks for all the replies. :-) I've already got the hoist fitted, had it done earlier this year. I've now taken the van to a local convertors, left it with them for the day along with the big scooter so they could take some measurements and the great news is they have a plan, so are having my van t...

Re: Interior floor plan with dimensions?
Hi Rita, yes I looked at that one....only seems to show one wheel arch and I'm not sure what the other box bit represents...
Gasy - that's a good point! Maybe I should be wary of getting too technical.

Re: Interior floor plan with dimensions?
Hi - Rita thanks for that, interesting but not quite what I'm looking g for as what I'd really like is the actual floor plan showing where the wheel arches and foot well are. But useful! Helen - no, they haven't done a Bongo before, though have done various vw models, and transit vans as well as one...

Interior floor plan with dimensions?
Hi, does anyone have an interior, empty floor plan diagram/drawing for the bongo, that they wouldn't mind sharing? I'm hoping to get a custom conversion on my van that will fit around my large mobility scooter when it's loaded, and I'd really like to be able to draw something up to give the converte...

I love my Freda, she's so adaptable! =D> After discovering last year that I really can't manage a trailer by myself because I'm not strong enough to move it around on the ground, another solution had to be found for transporting my huge, heavy, off road mobility scooter. Finding ramps that would bot...

flat battery - how to disconnect?
Hi
Please can one of you clever people tell me the procedure for removing and changing the battery in my bongo (the main one, not a leisure battery)? Mine's flat and needs taking out to see if we can chargeit or fit a replacement.
Thanks

Re: best budget easy put up awning??
Hiya, I don't think it was a quechua I saw - maybe a khyam wih the poles that just sort of unfold? They're quite.expensive though, aren't they? I'd be interested to kniw how you get on with your tailgate one - just googled it and had a look. Do you think it could work as a side awning too? I definit...
