best budget easy put up awning??

Helloo, Looking for some awning advice please. I am somewhat disabled - can walk a little bit but not much and can't do a lot in the way of lifting and holding stuff - so I'm looking for an awning that's reeeeeally easy for one person to put up and that won't break the bank. I did see one at the bon...

Re: unconverted camping stuff

I do as someone suggested in an earlier post, fold middle seat down and put either little butane stove or electric kettle on it. I use a metal tray to sit them on for safety, rather than directly on the plastic. I also use an electric hookup run in through the window, went camping last November and ...

Re: Seats/bed question

Not quite the same, but I toured last year with my folding electric bike and mobility scooter squeezed into the back of the van, so had the same issue of needing a LOT of floor space! I have the split rear seat model, so when I was only stopping for one night I didn't mess about unloading the bike a...

Hehehe, I recognise that face! Tasha is always trying to get first dibs on 'my' spot on the sofa, and pulls a very similar expression when I move her over!

show us yer Lurchers (or other furry travelling companions!)

Well as several other folks here seem to have Lurchers as their travelling companions, I thought it'd be nice to see some pics of our four legged friends. Please feel free to add any pics you're proud of,even if they're not Lurchers! Here's my fur-baby, Tasha. She's a Whippet crossed with probably a...

Re: Travelling with a dog?

Yes, my little madam is a longdog too, she's a whippet x saluki (we think. Not sure what else is in there...). However she gets on well with dogs of all shapes and sizes, though she is randomly barky at some dogs for no apparent reason then really friendly with others - and there doesn't seem to bee...

Re: Travelling with a dog?

Thanks guys, all useful. I did wonder about the safety aspect if I let her travel up front. Had another trip today and she settled much faster, so hopefully it's just a case of her needing to get used to the motion and being strapped in! Not quite sure yet what to doabout sleeping arrangements, I gu...

Travelling with a dog?

Hellooo, I've just got myself a new travelling companion, a little Lurcher dog. Problem is, she's not really mad keen on the van yet. I'm going to be working on it over the winter with lots of exciting short journeys to interesting places so hopefully she'll get used to it as a fun place. What I was...

plans for a top locker?

Hi, Does anyone have a plan they'd be prepared to share with me, for a top locker, to fit above the rear sliding door side window (the one that doesn't open?)? I'm hoping I've found someone who can build a small conversion to my specification, and one thing I'd really like to add is a little top loc...

Re: Just got back...

Thanks beachguild, I'd better start practising some new tunes on the whistle for next year! Unleas I've got the hang of my harmonica by then... Bob, could well have been you! Was all very friendly anyway. And yes, massive thanks to the organisers, it was a great first weekend away for m...

Just got back...

...From my first ever Bongo Bash. I had a lovely time! =D> It was a great event, brilliant live music on both Friday and Saturday night, and the best thing was how friendly everyone was! :D On arrival, when I said I couldn't walk well, the brilliant Ian found me a pitch nice and close to all the ent...
