Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies. I'll keep and eye on the coolant level each day this week.
Haydn,
I found the videos demonstrating how to bleed the system really useful and reassuring. Much appreciated.

Radiator coolant level dropped
Hi all, My local mechanic just replaced the radiator on my bongo. He didn't bleed the system (didn't know that when the bongo was collected by my wife) and by the time my wife drove the 10 minutes home the air in the system was firing like a machine gun in the top plastic tank. I've bled the system ...

Re: water issue
Hi The leak has stopped. There seems to have been no drop in radiator fluid, or rise in temperature. The mechanic I use had a look and said it was coming out of an 'umbrella valve'?? He has some limited experience with Bongos! Is there such a thing? I couldn't see if it was leaking from hose pipes a...

water issue
Hi all, Wondering if you could help with the following. I had water dripping out of a join/weld on the underside, level with the rear edge of the drivers door this morning. It was clear water no additives, the bongo hasn't overheated etc. It created a reasonable size puddle as well as significant ma...

fitting exhaust centre section
Hi all, Just arrived back from a week end trip away in the bongo and found the centre section of the exhaust has given up. I've ordered up the centre section and gaskets from the club shop. I have a 2.5 diesel, the year is 1997. Does anyone have any advice to make fitting slightly easier? Do I need ...

under sealing
Hi all, Can any of you recommend a reliable company that can under seal my bongo please? It looks as though it was done when imported in 2008. However it is needing to be refreshed as some signs of rust are coming through. I've got some surface rust appearing on the wheel arches and sills so conside...

Re: Central locking has stopped working
Hi,
Just had a look and discovered the following broken wires, a black, orange and yellow/red one all at the door hinge virtually underneath the cable tie. All are very brittle. By the looks of things another two have small nicks in them.
Thanks for all of your replies.

Re: Central locking has stopped working
Simon and Winchman, Thanks for your advice and guidance. As suggested I'll purchase a meter. On closer inspection there is some tape around the wiring loom as it goes into the door pillar so I suspect that there may have been a break in the protective casing before. When it stops raining I'll get ou...

Central locking has stopped working
Hi all, The central locking has stopped working on my 1997 Bongo. I only ever used the key to open it. On occasions it was intermittent and I was putting it down to the main battery being low as it was mainly happening in the morning. However it has now stopped altogether. I've read the various post...

Depending on what people want to do, Dunkeld or Blair Athol might be an option.

Re: Firth of Forth
Hi,
I would be interested in coming along. I bought my bongo in September so relativley new to all of this. Weather permitting I'll be there. A short jaunt as I stay in Fife.
