Tailgate Hinges

I think my tailgate has moved, we changed the struts to a higher rated pair from SGS but now the door catches on the latch slightly. Also the gap on one side is wider than the other but I must admit not sure if it was always like that. Anybody else had issues?

Front shock leak

out and about in sunny Dorset and something is leaking. Drivers side shock has fluid on it so looks like a front shock has gone/going. Clumping sound when it bottoms out. Just wanted some advise on whether it's something to get done immediately or in the near future, presume it's safe to drive? Chee...

Re: Solar Cell Installation

I have done similar, 65W panel at present but upgrading to 100W with 30W solar controler. However I did connect both +/- of the contoller outputs direct to the battery terminals. However the load neg is connected to the chassis so I only had to run a single cable for the load + to the rear. I used a...

Re: 100w Flexable Solar Cell For Roof

I'm planning on one as well but have not got around to measuring it. I think all the junction boxes are on one side due to the way the panels are connected internally. Might be wrong though.

Re: converting offside reversing light to fog

I was worried about this as mine is the same. Not very bright and looks like its been painted on the inside.

Think I'll upgrade the bulb.

Just to clarify a white lens with a red bulb would be OK?

LED Interior Lights

Hello Again. As you can see I'm taking time to mess with the van and finding your replies very helpful. Latest question, thought I'd change the front interior lights for LED's, purchased two 501 T10 W5W bulbs which fitted perfectly. However they would not fully switch off. Played with the door open/...

Heater Control (driver Footwell)

Hello

I noticed that the white plastic dial in the driver footwell has one of the metal bars loose. I tried to put it back in but the clip that holds it is broken off.

Any ideas on a good repair?

Coolant Change and Flush

Hi, time to change the coolant given we have no idea what's in the van or how long its been in. So I have my red stuff ready to go and have watched the video and info sheets. However guessing I need to flush everything out given we don't know what's in already. Is this something you can do DIY and h...

Re: stereo intallation

Yes you need an adaptor, we just typed 'Mazda Bongo CD radio stereo wiring harness adapter lead loom ISO converter wire' into ebay. We also needed an Sony to ISO converter as well but depends on your unit.

Trickle Charge main battery

Hello Should I disconnect the main/started battery if hooking it up to a trickle starter or can I just clip on the terminals and leave the thing hooked up for a while. I have a Streetwise Plastic Cased 12 Volt 4 Amp Battery Charger with 2.7 Amp DC (4 Amp RMS). Suitable for lead acid batteries only. ...

Leisure Battery and Hook Up Technical Question

Hi Planning to fit a Leisure Battery and Hook up to our unconverted Bongo. Couple of wiring questions I'm not sure of. Proposing not to fit a split charge relay as I want to charge the Leisure from Solar and it seemed complicated, I will therefore have two separate DC systems in the van, again does ...

We also found a Maxicosi Tobi only fitted in the front seat. Had it checked out by one a trained person the council used who seemed better than the people at Mothercare.

Re: Child Car Seat Problems - Please help!!

Have you tried the front seat, we found the youngest would only fit in that seat as it seemed a little wider and there is no airbag. He will have to enjoy the view until we have the next stage seat which fits in the back.
