Well that's the fan sorted. New transistor fitted, big blob of arctic silver CPU paste too and it works a treat. Such a simple fix. Thanks for the supplier info.

Transistor for front fan speed controller
Ok, I've got the old problem with the front fan transistor blowing and its running on speed 4 and nothing else. It's got digital climate control so I opened it up to have a look at the transistor ans sure enough it's blown. Looks like the solder has come off one of the link wires too. The help sheet...
