Alloy wheel refurbishing (West Yorkshire)
Last year I bought an original set of Bongo alloys from Michael Snr at Wheelquick in Wigan. The wheels were a great price but needed some TLC and were suffering from corrosion. My attempts to smarten them up were ok for a while but far from ideal. Kloonsy from the Bongo Bodyshop had heard about some...

Decals
I've been trying to get hold of some Bongo decals, does anyone know if First Stop Decals is still trading?
Or alternatively, any suggestions for other suppliers?
Thanks

Re: Carpet Dye
I jet washed/shampooed my carpets but found that they still looked grimy and faded. I was going to use the Autosmart Midnight stuff but found an alternative (and cheaper) product being recommended on various car forums. Advanced Vehicle Cleaning Supplies Ltd did a solvent-based black carpet dye whic...

Re: The Rust Directory
I've also used the Bongo Bodyshop to get repairs to both rear arches back in March this year. I originally approached Dave to replace the arches, when I showed him the van he talked me out of it and said I only needed local repairs. My van has a side camper van conversion and also LPG to add to the ...

Re: Reupholstered seats
Hi, I originally set out to have both the foam upgraded and the seats recovered. I then decided to additionally have my newish R'N'R mattress recovered to match the rest. Nick from Comfortz Leisure offered a seat swap-out. I'll provide a politician's answer to the price - depends on what you want do...

Thanks Simon, yep - I'd seen the polarity mentioned on various forums. Sadly mine remains unresponsive.
Thanks Rita - I'll keep on looking

Re: Tailgate spoiler brake light
Thanks Geoff, didn't realise that it won't show any resistance. I had connected to a 12v supply first and checked that all the electrical connections were ok. The whole unit was dead - that came as a surprise! Having said that, it looked like the spoiler had spent a lot of time in serious dampness -...

Re: Tailgate spoiler brake light
Thanks for that, must've keyed some rubbish into the search engine. (I only got part of the thread). Looks like the 626/eBay option is the way to go.

Tailgate spoiler brake light
Hi, I recently acquired and fitted a tailgate spoiler to my 2000 reg Bongo from a breakers. The spoiler was very grubby and cleaned up almost like new. Fitted it and it looks good - then discovered the spoiler brake light doesn't work. Took out the light fitting and it appears to be a strip of LEDs ...

Re: Spark plug no. 2L petrol
Hi Stuc,
I agree with Simon's recommendation - got them fitted to my 2.0L. I used to get some loss of power and occasional misfire with the standard plugs, however everything ran fine on petrol. (Also changed the HT leads). All problems went away

Re: Front Indicator bulbs
Thanks Simon, yep it wasn't that hard.
Most surprising was the lack of clips on the radiator grille. Took one screw out and it fell off That's previous ham-fisted owners for you! After that it was a breeze.

Re: Front Indicator bulbs
Thanks for that - yep it's progress (of sorts).
On a slightly different note - I'm toying with the idea of fitting a remote control central locking kit. Anyone know where the flasher relay is tucked away?
Thanks in anticipation.
