How about cobeland campsite near Aberfoyle. Its close to the village for pubs/food loads of walks and cycle paths in the area and only 40 mins by bus to stirling.
Might be worth a look they seem group friendly.

Yes we have a northstar "outback" in our car. It's really well made and very functional. We like being able to cook from inside and out. Adam at northstar is really helpful and he made ours with a two tone colour scheme and room to incorporate our own fridge. It has also had good feedback ...

I was worried about this myself so I painted mine to match the car and stuck them on with silicon. Worked a treat the other weekend no noise and s ecure....
