Re: Rear indicator not working (it’s not the bulb!)

Thanks Geoff, I’ll take a look, and failing that she’ll be off to the garage!

Re: Rear indicator not working (it’s not the bulb!)

Thanks Geoff, it’s a ‘96 diesel, and that was what I thought you might say - but I hoped there might be a way for me to sort it.

Rear indicator not working (it’s not the bulb!)

My passenger side rear indicator light isn’t working. The light on the dash is flashing at double speed, which is what drew my attention to it. I’ve changed the bulb, and it’s still not working (frustrating as I was on my way to having a much needed day out☹️). A bit of searching tells me it could b...

Sliding door auto close

I have recently fixed the soft close on my sliding door (thanks to the advice I found on the forum, and the helpful fact sheet!), and have been feeling quite proud of myself! However the reason it wasn’t working is that it was disconnected, and now I’m having a paranoid wonder if there might be a go...

Re: Save our local shops.....and Bongo Fury

Long live Bongo Fury! I can't remember the last time I posted on the forum, and I certainly don't look at it as much as I used to. It was indispensable when I was looking to buy, and in the early days of ownership, but now the Bongo and I have settled into life together and it is trouble free at the...

Re: No power from leisure battery

Thanks, yes I've checked all that - it has just kicked in (when I forgot it wasn't working and tried to use the tap!) so I wonder if I've got a dodgy bit of wiring somewhere.

No power from leisure battery

I have a new leisure battery, but have no power coming through. I've changed the fuses under the bonnet to no avail. The power unit is receiving power from the car battery, but nothing from the leisure. I am of course on a campsite with limited facilities! Any ideas about what to do next?

Re: Alternator

Thanks, Bob, I found them too and might give them a ring. Ordering one is. great idea, too. In other circumstances I'd love to have a go at DIY with the friend whose drive it is on, but sadly illness means that can't happen this time.

Re: Alternator

Thanks both. I don't live in Cambridge and the complicated circumstances mean that getting the Bongo to a garage, though possible as you suggest, is tricky. Hence the hope for a trustworthy mobile mechanic.

Alternator

My poorly Bongo is in need of a new alternator (it has been tested so I'm certain this is the problem!) and is currently parked on a friend's driveway in Cambridge. Does anyone know a mobile mechanic who could fit a new alternator onsite? Or would it need to go to a garage? It's a slightly long and ...

Re: Bongo 1995 wiper arms?

I have a set from my P reg, if you don't mind sanding them down and painting them. I've just moved house, so I would need to work out which box in the garage they are in before I could post them!

Thank you, everyone, that's really helpful. Now I know where to begin, here's hoping it is a simple fix!
