My two penneth - I've done a few & the easiest way to pick up the Reverse signal I find is by removing the dials & use the "R" light feed on the plug-in connector nearest the drivers side, third cable from the left. Behind the dials.

I'd look at the Victron 75/15 for your set-up. Deffo go for MPPT. worth their weight in gold if you find you are partially shaded at any time. Avoid the cheapo ones on eblag, check out you tube.
