Re: Mr HAYAT-Dodgy Bristol Bongo seller

He makes it a condition that anybody who bids on his Bongos is required to pay a cash deposit if they win. Refuses PayPal or credit card. Refuses to give out details without this cash. Only part of the whole set up. Also something very dubious with eBay, as there is no financial evidence that the ...

Re: Mr HAYAT-Dodgy Bristol Bongo seller

I am very surprised in this day and age anyone parts with any money before seeing anything, however well protected they might feel they are on ebay/paypal, which is surprisingly little if you ever have to try going down that route.

Re: Mr HAYAT-Dodgy Bristol Bongo seller

I mentioned elsewhere about a van i viewed from ebay that was absolute dog, the auction was won by guess who and he was advertising it the next day with a very different description.

The auction was "won" and then relisted immediately and "sold" again and guess what,he has it back up for sale again ...

Re: Mr HAYAT-Dodgy Bristol Bongo seller

Ebay probably wont be interested, they usually arent :)

I looked at a van local to me (dorset), it was an absolute pig, auction was won and surprise surprise this guy had it listed the next day with a very different write up :) He also snapped another one i enquired about after less than an hour of ...

The work was carried out by ADS Automotive in Bristol (bongo specialist apparently), also bought from them, i cant reach them today as they are closed. The present owner was told the diff could be put back in if he wanted.

Any feedback on the ...

Re: 4wd converted to 2wd

Overall, no, but there's little difference in mpg and perhaps slightly better tyre wear on offer. But it's a shame to have butchered a 4WD into a 2WD, you never know when you might need 4WD....

Re: 4wd converted to 2wd

Some have changed when the autobox has blown up and only a 2WD box was available from a breaker at a sensible price. Others have had problems with axle windup or front diff issues and just disabled the FWD by removing the front props. It would be useful to understand why it was changed, 4WD can ...
