Re: Reversing camera install wiring question
Thanks guys, yeah I hadn't thought about a switched permanent live option, was too transfixed with the magic of it coming on and overriding the screen when reverse is selected.. But thinking about it, a switch makes sense - just flick it when required.. So (a stupid question i know) could you advise...

Reversing camera install wiring question
Hi all Just thinking about an upcoming install of a reversing camera.. Most likely will wire it in to the 'beep box' in the drivers footwell. I haven't looked at the connection yet but when I do is the best option to stick a wire into the junction box and feed it out to the camera or should i splice...

Re: battery monitor the lazy way
I like it! :D Found one a bit cheaper on Amazon - looks like the same sort of thing - works on bluetooth - the transmitter though is powered by its own battery not the VRLA - wonder if you can get another monitor for the monitor battery etc etc  https://www.amazon.co.uk/Accutire-MS-51GB-Bluet...

Re: Hi Newbie here - with a couple of questions
Feeling nostalgic...
A year almost to the day when we got our Bongo (Freda), just passed its first MOT since owning, with no advisories..
Not completely unexpected but a relief all the same.
Cheers, Andy

Re: Campsite Recommendations - Ideally with entertainment &
Thanks folks, thats the sort of thing I was hoping for. Tanglefoot - Was it Wooda or Bude Holiday Resort you stayed at? I like the look of The Barge too, Andy. Looks like a good place for a night or two (not longer as I like my showers!) :D Any more? Yeah, we so far have not spent any more than 1 n...

We love going to The Barge, Pewsey, Wilts: http://www.the-barge-inn.com/index.php It's not for everyone though! It's very much spit and sawdust, turn up and pitch where you can, chances are you'll find yourself next to some new age hippy types, old school hippy types or bikers. They have great bands...

Re: Show us yer insides
Thanks! We did indeed choose the colours, we went for for something nice and light to open up the space, or something like that! The JAL slimline conversion sacrifices cupboard space for a nice big bed, but there's loads of room under the bed (accessible from a hatch in the back). We've not yet hoo...

Tie a bit of string to your slippy mats and then to your tow hitch You will pull them out with you and can drag them with you till it's safe to stop and retreave them Also less mucky tham digging them out the mud My mate used to send his boy into the back of the landy to open the door and pull them...

How about something like this... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tontec%C2%AE-Display-Raspberry-AT070TN92-Touchscreen/dp/B00HNLXZHO/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1442605477&sr=8-8&keywords=raspberry+pi+touchscreen I considered it but I'd prefer to replace the stereo altogether - but then have the prob...

As a matter of interest, what are you using as an input device? IR remote, or keyboard/mouse? Funny enough both.. I have the popular IR remote: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_3?rh=n%3A340831031%2Cn%3A%21340832031%2Cn%3A428654031%2Cn%3A1499980031%2Cn%3A1499985031%2Cp_74%3A-2999&page=3&s...

Re: Carputer (Raspberry Pi)
Hi - Just a couple of thoughts, would a Pi2 solve your USB problem? It's got 4 ports rather than 2, and should also give better performance. Also, you want to be careful if you're pulled over by plod - I think you'll find that having the screen in a viewable position from the driver's seat falls fo...
