Re: My newest homebuild
Hi Alkers, The forward unit is to be used as part of the bed, storage and as a casual table. So multipurpose, hence being on the runners still. If i did the Ebay thing ans out a bottle or plonk and some plates on it, it'd look less like an afterthought 😂😂 It means the downstairs bed measures 190x120...

Re: My newest homebuild
Pretty much yeah. I couldn't forgive myself if one were to fail in an accident, so better the devil you know. Interestingly, my nan (!!) bought my Vito off me and has just fitted a rock'n'roll bed to it. Looks great, but is definitely not as wide as my bed will be. Also, money. Crash tested rockers ...

Re: My newest homebuild
Aye up Plonk,
The cushions will go on top of the box or be stored "up top" on top of the rear section. Haven't fully decided yet as i am waiting for them to be made. That part will be 90cm long, so if in two bits is only 45cm of space taken up. The possibilities are endless

My newest homebuild

Hi Dougal,
Can i ask what you paid please? I did look on the website for the same thing, but couldn't find it.
Mine is knackered and requires replacement.
Cheers
Callum

Re: Loom switch over nonsense!
Oh, lights on warning buzzer isn't working. Key in ignition etc buzzer is working. The door switch is working to turn the interior light on, so what next?!

Re: Loom switch over nonsense!
Figured it out! Had another gander under the dash and found that a relay had been spliced in to the lighting system. I can't explain why. Anyhow, removed the relay and put it back to standard and voila, it worked as intended. It had the switched relay wire coming off the number 8 fuse, hence why it ...

Re: Loom switch over nonsense!
Just reconnected the buzzer, incase it had any bearing on the interior light, no luck unfortunately.
Any ideas?!

Re: Loom switch over nonsense!
In my time away from Bongo's, i forgot that they have a warning buzzer for lights etc. Ours doesn't have any beeps, but funnily i was routing around in the footwells earlier and saw a blue unit was unplugged, left it as i had no idea what it was and i didn't want to distracted. Anyway, turns out it ...

Re: Loom switch over nonsense!
Yes, i suppose it was a bit wordy  Top left does indeed still do memory for stereo, but has no bearing on the cabin lights. Top right does switched stereo, LCA, 12v socket AND interior lights. I cannot see anywhere obvious that it has been butchered to get the cabin lights coming from the top r...

Loom switch over nonsense!
Hi folks. Yesterday my wife left the the stereo on when she parked up meaning the battery had gone flat. A bit of an annoyance, but hey ho. On my old Bongo i fitted a loom swap and then removed the stereo feed as it was annoying me having to remember to turn it off when getting out. The new van alre...

Re: Seat question, sorry!
Hey, cheers for the response.
I am aware that the short rails are there on the gull seats, but i wondered if they could fit at the rear of the van, where the gull seats are. Saves buying long rails as i won't be able to push the seats all the way forward anyway as a conversion will be in the way.

Seat question, sorry!
Hi folks. Looking at possibly buying another bongo and my budget means an old one, which is fine. Now, i would do a homebuilt conversion and the ones i have seen have the gull seats. I would be interested to remove these and fit rails in the rear. Can the short rails fit in the rear? I had a gander ...

To buy a Bongo or not
Hello folks, A few years ago we bought a Bongo off my inlaws. I set about building my own conversion and documented it quite extensively on here (have a gander at my posts if you feel like it). Circumstance meant we had to sell it. Present day, i bought a Mk1 Mercedes Vito MPV a few months ago as so...

Re: Bongo now for sale, booo
Well, it's gone. I sold it last week on ebay, only for thw buyer to pull out saying that he couldn't get insurance. I was pretty hacked off! I relisted it and ended up selling it via autotrader to a woman in Scotland! She saw it yesterday on there, and flew down this morning! A lovely woman who alre...
