Hello!
Does anyone know of a Bongo specialist in the Ashford/Canterbury/Maidstone area of Kent? My bongo needs a service and I want my Billie in good hands!
Thank you,
Katie

Re: Day 6 Bongo disaster!
It's just been Mot'd and my garage had a look under last Monday, didn't spot anything untoward. They'll be tapping every bit of metal they can find tomorrow, including the passenger side lower arm. It's 21 years old so yes, there is some corrosion but I am told this would have been hard to predict...

Day 6 Bongo disaster!
So I was reversing out of a parking space in a tight turn, heard a crunch. Looked underneath and couldn't see anything obvious at first. Drove forward and the steering didn't feel right, particularly on right turns. Looked again, nothing hanging off. Drove very slowly to my local garage, having a ba...

Re: Motorhome requirements: the table
Hi Rita,
I have been asking myself the same question. Yes, it has an AFT. Partly I want to for the fun of converting it, but also the insurance, MOT, perhaps tax, should be cheaper, and better contents insurance I hear.

Re: Motorhome requirements: the table
Yes, I checked the DVLA requirements but wondered if someone had firsthand experience of it. Well, I'll give it a whirl and make the seats look as table-like as possible in the photos! I'm also designing a rear side kitchen that can act as a table top with the rear seats acting as a bench for sittin...

Motorhome requirements: the table
Dear all,
Does anyone know if the table that flips down on the bench seat meets the DVLA requirements for a fixed/fold down table for the purposes of registering as a motorhome, or do I need to install a side rail and detachable table arrangement?
Many thanks!
Katie

Re: Picking up my Bongo tomorrow - am I mad?!
Yes its very common to move the blinds across to the LB. Take a look down at the fuse panel by the drivers knee, if it looks like below then provided there are some spare fuse sockets in the LB fuse block no reason why an extra two wires can't be added to pickup the two blind fuses as shown on the ...

Re: Picking up my Bongo tomorrow - am I mad?!
Thanks for all the advice and encouragement. I have been offline as I have been away for the weekend Bongo bonding! Two nights in the autotop on my new memory foam mattress, slept like a baby. So comfortable, although you have to be a bit careful with closing the roof. If the mattress isn't position...

Re: Picking up my Bongo tomorrow - am I mad?!
I'm in Kent, so Dorset is a bit of push I'm afraid! I am deliriously excited. Picked up Billie today and discovered I was driving along with a massive smile on my face. I have loaded her up with my stove, put the mattress up top and am off on my first adventure first thing. Driving an automatic took...

Re: MOT certificate says miles not km
Thanks for that. So I need to have a chat with the dealer and double check the odometer units, or its done 57,000 miles more than the dealer claims! Since the entire MOT history is recorded in miles, I imagine it would be difficult to convince them of a unit change - I think there is limited service...

Re: MOT certificate says miles not km
P.s. I was looking at the gov.uk MOT checker, perhaps that automatically translates odometer readings to miles? Or perhaps I am being optimistic...

Re: MOT certificate says miles not km
It's in miles on the MOT certificates from when it first entered the country, but says km on the odometer. I'm paying for it today, would be nice to be sure it's the mileage the dealer claims it is!
