Re: A slight twist to the "bleeding method"

OMG this is just about to make life easier. New Bongo owner here. First attempt at bleeding it became apparent we had a pathetically small funnel .... result = scalded hand and abort. I’m off out to buy the bits to mirror your kit this morning and will hopefully have a more successful attempt later....

Re: Overheating Issue

What you say sounds very likely. Sadly you may well have damaged the head as well, all too common if you continue to drive a Bongo when it's overheated. :( definitely bleed it and see how you go, but it may well be worth doing a 'sniffer test' to establish if you have combustion gasses in the coola...

Hi All I finally bought my bongo last week (1998 2.5l Diesel) after about a year of looking and lurking. Test drive was fine and she behaved. Drive home was fine. Temp was around 90 ish both times. Denby Caravans ... anybody got any experience

Hi Peeps
After about a year of looking at Bongos on internet and viewing a few, it looks like I am going to finally bite the bullet.
Am currently looking at a van converted by Denby Caravans in 2007.
Has anybody got any thoughts/knowledge on their reputation good ... bad... ugly??
TIA

New to Bongo Owning ... maybe

Hi folks
I have wanted a camper for ages and viewed a Bongo last night.
Its 1996 reg unconverted. I am sorely tempted, but also a bit worried.
Can you please tell me some of the pros and cons of Bongo owning.
I know you all love them, but there must be some things to watch out for?
Cheers :-)
