Problem solved... I took the sender unit off today and inside the bottom was some serious carnage. In the tank there were bits of leaves and plenty off bits and bobs floating around. I took the pipes of the diesel filter and blew them through with a compressor. Cleaned the tank out with Karasene and ...

That's a great tip and shall be trying it out tomorrow. Rocket gasket needs changing so shall be doing this same time. Shall update once done. Thanks for all advice so far

I think the idea behind the blank is just to establish if its the egr or something else. All pipes are ok to and from the turbo. There second hand egr on eBay for 25 quid but hoping this will give me the answer

Well thanks for advise bongo lovers. It so defo not a gearbox issue. Took turbo shield off took pipe off checked turbo which had load off rubbish in etc. The fan spins lovely and no movement I turned car on gave it some nice revs after few mins waste gate working group well etc. Next minute same ...

Thanks for the reminder and being honest I've paid so much attention to thinking it was because it was problem going into 4th gear I lost track and kind of thought it was a gearbox issue. Going to try again to check this out if not I think I will have to break her for parts. And also very ...

The guy actually has some knowledge of bongos and the auto box. It's accelerating through all first few gears. It's started that when I start hitting higher in the revs when it should be changing up it starts to drop revs and they bounce on the rev counter between 2000 and 2500 holding and slowing ...

Yes he wants me to take of sump clean it completely and replace gasket as it seems to have a little leak on it. All other things like fuel filter has been changed and the fuel filter was filled with sludge. I've even cleaned the banjo filter.

Okay so after seeking professional help the lovely bongo has been diagnosed with the oil sump gasket needing changing with a good clean and fresh oil. Main problem now seems to be hitting gears up to 3rd lovely. Come to go to fourth and just seems to not want to change up. Revs start to drop and just slows me down to around d 30mph. No hold light flashing and once in lower gears goes absolutely lovely. Help.

Also hold light works fine if pressed and does not come e on whilst driving and having this issue.. Thanks
