Re: Revs holding and dropping

Problem solved... I took the sender unit off today and inside the bottom was some serious carnage. In the tank there were bits of leaves and plenty off bits and bobs floating around. I took the pipes of the diesel filter and blew them through with a compressor. Cleaned the tank out with Karasene and ...

I have taken it for a spin when once again been loosing power whilst driving. I parked up raised the revs to 3000 held it for couple of ...

Re: Loosing power on slight inclines

I think the idea behind the blank is just to establish if its the egr or something else. All pipes are ok to and from the turbo. There second hand egr on eBay for 25 quid but hoping this will give me the answer

Re: Loosing power on slight inclines

Thanks for the reminder and being honest I've paid so much attention to thinking it was because it was problem going into 4th gear I lost track and kind of thought it was a gearbox issue. Going to try again to check this out if not I think I will have to break her for parts. And also very ...

Re: Loosing power on slight inclines

The guy actually has some knowledge of bongos and the auto box. It's accelerating through all first few gears. It's started that when I start hitting higher in the revs when it should be changing up it starts to drop revs and they bounce on the rev counter between 2000 and 2500 holding and slowing ...

Re: Loosing power on slight inclines

After thinking overnight I think I've forgotten to mention problems I ever been having. Throughout winter my bongo has been struggling to get into top gear until warmed and finally dropped into too gear. Also whilst driving the centre console around the gear knob would get very hot which was only ...
