throw away nice Bongo middle bench?

Hi all, I'm doing my own conversion i.e. taking out the middle bench seat  . I'd wanted to keep the seat in case I changed my mind. However, I have simply no place to store it. I could try selling the seat on ebay but I'll get almost nothing. It might take ages to shift too, if at all. I don't ...

Re: Bongo heating recommendations!

Thanks. I'll be getting something cheap and cheerful.

Is an 'oil heater' and an 'electric radiator' the same? If different, is one better than t'other?

Bongo heating recommendations!

I'm sorry if this a bit of a boring question, but I need to ask anyway! I've read a few threads but am not really understanding .... I doubt I'd want heating all night, but in the occasional evening when the temperature is on the cool side, it might be nice to have a warmish van for a couple of hour...

Re: Removing middle bench seat to create space - a good idea?!

Thank you both, very helpful.

At the moment, I have got someone to undo the bolts for the middle bench, though it does leave some bits sticking up. I will try and remove it from the bongo when I have some further help! :)

Removing middle bench seat to create space - a good idea?!

Hi All, I want to remove the middle bench, so I have alot more space to create my own "mini conversion" i.e. storage space for table, temporary bed :D . I want to keep the back seats, just for comfortable seating really. So, am I right in thinking that what I need to do to is this either A...

The Bongo in Winter - wax, cover, drive?

Greetings All, I am just wondering how best you could keep a bongo in winter outside, when you have no or few plans to use it. I've looked at indoor storage and price seems prohibative for me. 1. Should you wax the bodywork on the outside to add a bit of protection? Pay someone to do this, or DIY ea...

Re: Is it worth getting Auto Free Top - or simple Tin Top?

So brilliantly helpful. Its great when other people echo my (vague) thoughts, and also add extra ideas. Its really helped me decide what to do. I'm going to get a tintop basic van. If I decide in the future I "must" have the extra ceiling I think I would have the option of fitting a new 'm...

Re: Is it worth getting Auto Free Top - or simple Tin Top?

Thanks so much for your replies. I think I need to go to a dealer again and check it out again to re-consider the question, as still unsure. I'm not mechanically minded, so want to keep things as simple as possible, especially as first campervan. mike's comments v helpful on this too.
