Re: Dodgy fuel gauge
Hi guys,
Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Our fuel gauge has never got further than the first marker (one after empty). We added the earth wire from the chassis to the tank as suggested, is there anything else we can try?
Thanks.

Re: What is this part called?
We did have a little go but it was a bit close to the radiator and to be honest, we got a bit scared! Lol. She is off into the garage on Wednesday for a new waterpump and some welding so might ask them then.

What is this part called?
Hi folks,
Freda has been having a bit of a facelift this weekend and while we had the grill out we noticed this dent in the front is worse than we first thought.
Has anyone got any idea what the part is called?
It is the strip under the headlights and above the bumper.

Re: Heater lever stuck and dead back fans, any thoughts?
Okay, with the front heater control lever I did a bit of investigation at lunch time and it seems the linkage on the back of the heater controls and goes under the bonnet to direct the air flow is super stiff. I sprayed some wd40 on any parts that looked like the moved but no real improvement.

Re: Heater lever stuck and dead back fans, any thoughts?
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I know it is one fan, it was the two vent holes that got me making it plural. The switch on the dashboard is on, as are the blowers on the front panel. The back blowers are switched on but the green light doesn't illuminate.
Also, the lever that switches between ...

Heater lever stuck and dead back fans, any thoughts?
Morning guys,
Another little task to add to the Freda to do list. I was cleaning in there last night (is there an award for the dirtiest van? Only I think we may have bought it.) And whilst doing the dashboard I noticed that the lever on the fan, the one that changes it from air being circulated ...

Re: Split relays, leisure batteries and smoke... Eek
Rang the garage this morning and they are more than happy to fit parts we source so all good. They have Bongos of their own so such a relief (they are about 15 mins walk from my house).

Re: Do all Bongos/Fredas have spoilers?
Hoping you mean "Tokyo Drift" stylee. I am scared at the minute of taking corners too sharp in case it falls over, lol. Bit of a step up from my 1.2 Corsa.

Re: Split relays, leisure batteries and smoke... Eek
Ah thank you. I have been reading various posts trying to work out the benefits and fitting requirements of each. Looks like we have a Bongo friendly garage right near us so gonna call them this morning and see if they can do the fitting, do folks normally source the parts and then pop them to the ...

I meant more so the standard coolant alarm or the one with the temperature sensor too. What would folks recommend and should we fit ourselves or pop it to the garage?

Re: Do all Bongos/Fredas have spoilers?
Sounds like a plan. Any thoughts on who might do a loom for the light? Isn't it a requirement for the MOT that if it is there it should be working?
