Re: Charging advice
The Split Charge Relay is pretty dumb it merely operates once either battery voltage exceeds 13.8 volts approximately, at that point both batteries are in parallel. Once the voltage drops back below 13.8 volts then the relay drops out and isolates the two batteries from each other. As to continuing...

This is what the battery manufacturers sent about charging, saying all the info is on here... Could be written in German to me! Means nothing!!

Re: Solar charge controller setting for AGM battery
Thanks for the reply. I think the Renogy solar charge controller have prefix of Lead, Gel or flooded as options with lead and flooded having equalisation as part of the charge sequence. I do have a split charger, but I thought that would never be able to fully charge an AGM battery? Due to this I al...

Solar charge controller setting for AGM battery
Hi, Any advice on this would be most useful! I am upgrading my solar set up and need some help on solar controller settings. I have a new 150w panel, with a Renogy Rover cc, charging a xtreme 200ah xr3500 battery. As this is an AGM battery I believe I am able to change the settings manually on the c...

Re: 0400, 1228 & the EGR
Update from George at Bongospares- Turbo cleaned, but he also found a faulty egr valve. This was replaced and fingers crossed this is what’s been triggering the fault codes. He more or less said if this doesn’t work and it turns out to be the turbo, it’s a case of scrapping the van as I wouldn’t be ...

Re: 0400, 1228 & the EGR
Looking at the lush drawings the early design with the horizontal pushrod being converted to rotational movement seems like failure waiting to happen the later vnt looks more conventional Garrett design so should last longer just check that it all moves freely and easily I have 2001 2.5 diesel, so ...

Re: 0400, 1228 & the EGR
Just going through this myself. Had the ‘sticky’ actuator rod freed up by the guys at Bongospares at the end of May. Completed lots of miles since then, holiday from Yorkshire to Cornwall, plus other trips away! All fine... until this weekend, coil light started flashing 2 hours into a journey (Same...

Electric blinds
Searched the forum and can't find an answer to my exact problem. The passenger side blinds have stopped working, neither individually, or from the switch by the steering wheel. The fuse for the blinds is bypassed to the leisure battery. All fuses seem okay, both in the box and to the leisure battery...

Re: Door cards
Yes lots of people re-cover them. I've seen amazing styles. Fabric, superhero comic pages (with a sealer on top) the wipe-off vinyl that's used as tablecloths etc. Getting the panel off is the most challenging part. They're held on by clips. You can buy a trim removal tool (ebay, amazon, sealey etc...
